Day 1

Arrival at the Kigali International airport

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met with a warm welcome by our company representative, get cleared by the customs, exchange some money in local currency, drive to the hotel for some good rest. Our driver will brief all about the safari and the program in details.

Day 2

City tour and Volcanoes National Park (Musanze) – Twin Lakes

Wake up to your breakfast at the hotel, check out and embark on a city tour. Visit the Kigali Gisozi genocide memorial, visit local markets, have lunch in a city restaurant of your choice, and then transfer to Musanze the home of Mountain Gorillas, Golden monkeys, hikes and so on. On your way going you will be having time to discover, view Rwandan Landscapes plus plains. You will arrive, check in with lunch, relax and enjoy the property amenities, evening at leisure. Optional evening visit to the twin lakes. The community visitation to the Twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo. The twin lakes area is very scenic, with steep and intensively farmed hills surrounding the pristine dark blue waters. They offer magnificent views over the whole of the Virunga Volcanoes (weather permitting). Walking and birdwatching are possible in the hills and at some points around the lakes. Return to your lodge, dinner and rest.

Day 3

Volcanoes National Park - Bisoke Hike experience and cultural experience

On this day in the morning after breakfast, you will go to RDB Headquarters for briefing with a cup of Coffee or tea, you will join a group of tourists heading to the hike on the top of the Volcano where there is a beautiful crater lake. It takes 4 hours ascending and 2 hours descending. Return to your hotel / lodge for lunch and later go for an afternoon Cultural experience at the Gorilla Guardians former Iby’iwacu culture village center, get entertaining history, music and stories of Rwanda and their ways of life. Feel free to dance along with the village people, it is fun. Retire, drive back to the hotel / lodge and then dinner and rest.

Day 4

Undertake the Golden Monkey trek with a transfer back to Kigali - Departure

After breakfast you will proceed to the park headquarters to meet your guides for the Golden Monkeys trekking activity, get the briefing and get started, once you meet the monkeys, enjoy their activities for a full hour. After completing your experiences, check out, you will then be transferred back to Kigali with en route lunch in Kigali, last minute souvenir shopping, you will drive to the Kigali international Airport.
